Amanda Patterson, LMHC, CAP , Mental Health Counselor of the Year by the Florida Mental Health Counseling Association, decided to become a therapist while attending Nova Southeastern University. She saw the need to help people achieve the life they wanted to live, while creating a life of her own. She completed her master’s in Mental Health Counseling and started a career in the juvenile justice arena. Amanda has been a therapist for ten years and has a private practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida, specializing in depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and substance abuse in teenagers and young adults. Gretchen Rovira is currently the Family Outreach Coordinator for Federation of Families under South Florida Wellness Network. They are a Peer Run organization that provides Education, Peer Support and Advocacy. She has experience with Mental Health as an Adult and as a Family Member. Howard is a highly trained, experienced drug and alcohol addictions counselor and Licensed Mental Health Counselor, specializing in treating and providing therapy for a co-occurring disorders population. Howard has been treating clients from a variety of diverse cultural backgrounds all with a common thread: they all struggle with drug/alcohol addiction.
