Dr. Aletha Cannistra has experience with diagnostic assessment, group therapy, and individual therapy with children and adults. Her areas of experience include: anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, domestic violence, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, childhood behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, and life transitions. Additionally, she has experience providing diagnostic assessments with children (e.g., behavioral issues, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder).She employs an integrated, client-centered approach, primarily utilizing cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal techniques to empower clients to take an active role in achieving their goals.
