Sheila Simchon, LSP, Clinical Director of Broward

Introduction

Hello, and welcome to your journey towards healing and growth. My name is Sheila Simchon, and I am a highly qualified professional, holding dual licenses as both a School Psychologist and a Clinical Social Worker. With dedicated passion, I utilize a comprehensive therapeutic approach aimed at supporting and empowering you in various facets of life, including education, career, and personal growth.

Since 2006, I have been practicing as a School Psychologist with a specialization in Neurodevelopmental Disorders. I am well-versed in conducting comprehensive evaluations which include Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and giftedness. Additionally, I have received formal training in the administration and interpretation of the ADOS-2, the gold standard for assessing ASD. These evaluations will offer valuable insights into your unique needs, allowing us to create effective interventions and accommodations to support children and adults in advocating for growth and development. I have also played a significant role in sharing my expertise by providing extensive trainings and workshops in New York City and Florida, educating professionals on best practices within the field.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I provide a range of therapeutic services, including individual and couples therapy for teens and adults, customized to address the challenges stemming from conditions related to Neurodevelopmental Disorders, which can significantly impact one’s psychological, social, and emotional well-being. Additionally, my expertise allows me to offer specialized support to those struggling with conditions such as depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, and relationship challenges. My approach is tailored to each individual’s specific circumstances, recognizing that your experiences and needs are unique. In therapy, we work together to navigate challenges, while fostering personal growth, emotional resilience, and healthier relationships.
