Meet Carly Snyder: Supporting Mental Health as a Registered Counselor Intern
Life is unpredictable, filled with complicated moments of challenge, transition, and a range of feelings from joy to grief. Throughout my practice, I have had the privilege of working with individuals confronting a range of issues. Some of my specialities include chronic illness, the challenges of caregiving, the multifaceted nature of women’s issues, and parenting. Whether you’re trying to balance work with family responsibilities or navigating the tumult of adolescence, I specialize in providing guidance that resonates with your situation.
My approach to therapy is eclectic, built on an Emotion-Focused framework that emphasizes authenticity and connection. I believe that therapy is far more than a collection of techniques; it’s a partnership grounded in dialogue. I listen attentively and intervene actively, fostering a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Together, we’ll uncover the underlying patterns that influence your behavior, making it easier to identify what holds you back and what helps you flourish.
What makes my work most meaningful is witnessing the transformative journeys my clients embark upon. The therapeutic relationship is one of the biggest contributing factors to your success in therapy; therefore, I will always show up as my authentic self and use our relationship as a model to help you meet your goals and experience growth. I won't be the therapist you disclose everything about yourself to, but in return, know nothing about. My life experiences motivated me to become a therapist; I wouldn't be the person or therapist I am today without them. I am here to walk alongside you as you navigate through life’s hurdles and aim to create a supportive environment that encourages you to be open and honest.
If any of this resonates with you, I encourage you to take the first step towards your therapy journey. Please reach out for a consultation to see if we are a good fit. Therapy is a personal experience, and finding the right therapist can make all the difference.
A helpful tip for those considering therapy: be open to the process. It’s perfectly normal to feel apprehensive about beginning therapy.
Life can be challenging, but you don’t have to face it alone. I look forward to the opportunity to connect with you. Thank you for taking the time to read this post—I hope to hear from you soon!
