Tell us about your favorite part of doing online counseling

My favorite part of doing online counseling is the flexibility it provides for both the client and the therapist.

What’s something funny that happened to you during an online counseling session?

I met a client’s kitten because it chose to sit right on the keyboard of her laptop during session. What a cutie!

Do you think online counseling is here to stay?

I believe online counseling is absolutely here to stay so long as we are offering it. It is a great back up in cases where the client is unable to make it to the office. It is also a great way to meet those with agoraphobia and deliver the treatment they need.

What types of clients do you work best with for online sessions?

Client’s who are medically ill. Client’s with agoraphobia, severe social anxiety, couples who are long distance within the state of FL, mom’s who are home with their newborns and client’s who want the services but prefer to be seen via telehealth.

What are the benefits you see from online counseling?

I can work from home, flexibility, opens up accessibility to client in other parts of the state, and reaches populations who would not seek services otherwise.
