Lizzette Mambru, LMFT

I am Lizzette Mambru a licensed marriage and family therapist serving clients in South Florida. I am an Afro-Latina of Panamanian roots who engages clients in English and Spanish.

My approach in serving clients is client-centered and eclectic as I utilize techniques that best fit my client’s needs. I unequivocally believe in the value of the therapeutic relationship where trust, nonjudgmental interactions, and positive regard fosters the foundation for emotional wellness. I am well versed in evidenced based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused techniques.

I received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Florida State University and master’s degree in Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University. I have specialized training in Maternal Mental Health, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR).

I am a qualified supervisor for marriage and family therapist interns seeking licensure. I am excited to discuss your cases and experiences in the field as a newly graduated therapist and work towards fine tuning your clinical skills.

In my 5 years of experience I’ve assisted clients to overcome the following challenges: substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, stress, life-transition, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, perinatal and postpartum depression.
