Hi there! My name is Suquoya Tyler and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in the state of Florida. I have been a clinician for over seven years and have had the privilege of serving diverse populations while treating various disorders including: Depression, Anxiety, Eating Disorders, PTSD, Substance Abuse, etc.
I earned my Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, where I majored in Family and Child Sciences, and my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I have received formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and various other evidenced based treatment modalities.
I have extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults struggling with lack of self-esteem, abandonment, generational trauma, anxiety, and depression. I absolutely love helping guide adolescents, young adults, and families through life’s ever-changing journey with various skills and techniques I have learned and implemented throughout the years. My hope is that each person I work with discovers and embraces their true authentic self and experiences true happiness within. My main goal as a clinician is to form a strong therapeutic alliance in order to foster a safe environment to go below the surface and do deep healing work.
I am also an advocate for self-care and enjoy writing poems, listening to music, going to the beach, spending time with loved ones, and playing with my adorable puppy Shadow!
