My name is Raziela and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker here to first and foremost congratulate you on taking a step towards seeking therapy.
My areas of expertise focus on children (6 years to 17 years) and promoting their healthy socio-emotional development, students with behavioral challenges, children who are immigrants or come from families that have immigrated to the United States. Although I may apply several evidence-based techniques in my practice, the goal is to guide you and your child to becoming your happiest and healthiest selves.
I always keep in mind that our children do not exist in a vacuum. I utilize a holistic approach to promote a healthy social and emotional development and to ensure that protective factors and support networks align in order to maintain long-term progress. I also aim to support and empower the family as a unit when they encounter barriers that impact their child’s academic, emotional, and social development.
I have experience with family therapy, psychosocial assessments, providing crisis intervention, addressing issues that affect school truancy and applying positive behavior interventions for children with behavioral concerns within the educational or home settings.
As a bilingual (English/Spanish) LCSW, I am also attuned to the unique barriers and stressors experienced by families that have immigrated to the United States and their children. I utilize a multicultural approach to assist with adjustment and adaptation while recognizing that the mere experience of traveling to a new country can be traumatic.
I am excited about this journey of growing and healing that you and your family are about to embark on. I look forward to hearing from you!
