Introduction
Welcome! I’m Nicky Keet, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who was born and raised in South Africa where I am a board-certified Psychologist. I have had the privilege of working in a country rich with culture and with individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnicities. My clientele included those in conflict with the law, college students, children in safe houses, LGBTQ+ individuals, mood/anxiety disorders, and individuals who have experienced a range of trauma.
After experiencing therapy’s positive impact on me and my journey, my passion for psychology was ignited. I know firsthand how scary, overwhelming, and vulnerable it can feel to start this therapeutic process; therefore, I am committed to providing a safe and non-judgmental space for all my clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I believe that the counselor-client relationship is of great value to the process, and I endeavor to help you feel seen and heard.
I look forward to working with you and walking alongside you on your journey.
